English Poetry

If life were like a dream,

Uncomplicating;

Love would be simple , reasoning by.

If life were like a childhood,

Uninhibiting;

Love would be easy, living with.

If life were like a work of art,

Uncompromising;

Love would be worth dying for.

    Beautiful poem
    Lovely meaning
    Liked immensely.

    Just a thought
    What if in the poem we replace the beginning “If”s with “What if”s

      @medhini,
      Dear Friends,
      Thanks a lot for all your appreciation.
      Vishvnandji -P.S.Your query –
      If the line begins with ‘What if’ instead of ‘If’ – no harm.
      But then, the emphatic the force of the word ‘If’ will go off.

    Is there an end to all the “ifs and buts”? All our desires would be so easily fulfilled!! Wish that was true. Very beautiful!
