English Poetry

Islands – You & I,

Revolving around one another ,

Irresistibly;

Throbbing with the shifting tides,

Of nature’s trials.

Islands – You & I,

Evolving through one another,

Irrepressibly;

Thrusting through the shooting tentacles,

Of human turmoils.

Islands – You & I,

Dissolving into one another,

Irrevocably;

Thirsting ,

Thirsting all the while.

Beyond the shattering typhoons of life’s torments,

For showering drops of love over hazy horizons.

Kusum

    Yet one more woven in simplicity but saying a lot of the intertwined nature of life wrapped thirst and longing. Islands have water all around yet remain parched for long .

    Kusum,
    lovely.
    I especially liked these lines –

    “Revolving around one another ,

    Evolving through one another,

    Dissolving into one another,” and the closing line also,
