Voices Of Silence
Anthology 2013 Entries, English Poetry |
Oh silences of sighing trees,
Of swaying grass-blades in the shade;
Of lapping waters on the shore,
Of cooing doves in amorous nooks.
Oh silences that mean much more,
Much more than human words;
Oh silences of heaving hearts,
Of mute eyes that speak a language of their own,
In the entrancing clasp of love;
Oh silences, silences, silences!

Silence is golden
Nice poem maam
Wow, what a beauty on Nature’s silence and the profound silences of humans!
Thanks a lot Parminderji for your fine appreciation.
Sometimes we humans make too much noise – talking loudly, loud music that disturbs peace and harmony.

Silence speaks volumes..
Isn’t it Kusumji? Nice
lines.
Very true.
After too much noise pollution one longs for the solitude of silence.
