I walk into the evening
I walk into darkness,
I walk all alone,
I walk into oblivion.
The dusk falls around me,
On this lonely forest path.
Birds rush back to the nests,
The day breathes its last.
The sun rushes to meet the earth,
Behind the swaying foliage.
Everything suddenly seem darker,
Like the days just turning a page.
I had had a lovely day,
Had joy & fun, oh what a ball.
I roamed the free world,
The lovely nature did enthrall.
This forest is the world we live in,
The dusk, end of the daily grind.
All good things must end,
Happiness is for us to find.
We have our ups & downs,
Sometimes Kings, else clowns,
Happiness can’t be forever,
Have to accept the frowns.
Happiness is for us to find.
