we badly lack commonsense
When people talk sense,
which does not appeal to our sense,
we regard it as nonsense,
And then it is often too late,

to realize our mistaken sense….

@Vishvnand, Shri Visvnand ji and friends, thanks for your nicest comments and analysis. This is based on what my husband told me about his friend/colleague who when became a superior in cadre became very arrogant and stopped listening to the advice of his friends. Now he is suffering…………..by his own mistakes. Though he is a very good and intelligent person the authority in his hands made him totally dumb……My husband felt so bad about him.

Yes. this indeed is quite a common phenomenon in hierarchical organizations when individuals incompetent and unsuitable in attitude and personal qualities get posted or promoted to positions they don’t deserve. Higher the position more the damage.
I can totally empathize with the lines. It is such a common phenomenon.
And yes, risk is great when the inner voice vanishes.

this is a matter of debate.
Does the inner voice ever vanish.
I think it is there for everyone but in case of certain individuals it is cruelly snubbed to do things totally against the sane advice of the inner voice and that is where we see all the problems. They suffer and make others suffer because of them and their ill intentions and greed..

The inner voice, or the Atma or the God always tells the truth. It cannot be killed as our Bhagavath Geeta says (nainam chindanthi sastrani……………). But when the mind (Budhi) and heart (Manass), which are actually the shadows of Maya; become incorrigible, the Atma gets suppressed; when that man becomes unmanageable.
