Fish swims in sea water,
trying to stop the waves,
moving towards the shore,
in vain.

The earth opens its wide mouth area
to absorb entire rain water through it
by not letting river or sea
to hold it, in vain.
*****
Rocks try firmly and hard
to hold the soil with plants on the hills,
not to let tremor cause landslide,
in vain.
*****
Monkey jumps from trees to trees
to pluck all the fruits,
to munch them all, drops
down many, in vain.
*****
Human being sweats a lot to satisfy
own ego, to be adored all through
cries at one’s disability
miserably, in vain.

When will large chunk of humanity know,
what are activities which have meaning
and what are those which are in vain
For today concentration & importance is given
more to activities most of which are in vain
neglecting activities important, meaningful & of real gain.
