No Regards ….!
It was the time I think in the late 60’s
When “Telexes” were a brand new introduction
in very few advanced offices for effective communication.
Was expensive & the charges were calculated based on
Length of telex & time for its transmission.
To keep telexes short was the obvious understanding
In effect telexes were replacing telegrams in communicating.
Most telexes got drafted with “regards” or “best regards” as ending
Administration issued a circular for everyone’s understanding
“Mentioning “regards” in telexes is unnecessarily costing
Kindly see there is no regards mentioned in your telex drafting”
Some telexes that came thereafter for transmitting
got obviously drafted mentioning “No Regards” as their ending.

Today the technology has really been developed. People receive faxes/emails etc . promptly, indicating “Regards” or “Thanks & Regards” at the bottom of regardless matter.

Thanks very much for the comment. You are right. They go further these days and in e-mails they don’t even write Regards, they write “Rds” or Rgds” which I take to mean Rotten, grumpy devilish stupid.. 🙂
What we considered as grace in communication seems to have been discounted. May be it is a subject of an other write.
Common thing during that era and in todays’ time – We still Pay for Regards

Further I have responded to each and every pm & emails the members have sent to me on any matter including personal and continue to do so. There is nothing to update in my case now except that I am growing older day by day (The age can be calculated from the birth date given) and the no of posted poems are also getting added which also can be noticed in every poem page of mine. 🙂
