Undesirable Cocksure-ity ….!

The question is
Whether egg came first
Or the chicken came first
There is quite a debate & confusion
No one at all cocksure about correct conclusion

A small smart boy answered
It is very simple
Egg is first & chicken thereafter
For we have Eggs for breakfast
And chicken for lunch or dinner thereafter

A guest invited for dinner
When asked this question
Replied “I like both,
You can serve any first
And the other afterwards”…

There are many such questions
Like the egg & chicken
Which we are unable to answer
Thinking & pondering about them
Can be a joyful exercise to keep mind sharper
But if we feel miserable not finding an answer
It is time; throw such question in the basket of waste paper
For there are so many such questions we don’t know answers
Still life goes on joyfully amid all delighting wonders;
Not necessary, rather unadvisable & undesirable,
That for everything we should be cocksure….

      @anupamaa
      Yes, very true. The real fun is in groping for the truth and what the way leading to it reveals. As they say Happiness is not a destination but the very manner of traveling.
      Thanks for the comment.

    I am cocksure that this is a masterpiece of poetry moralistic and entertaining at the same time.

    sometimes I feel its good that we don’t know everything, that way we are eager to learn new things

      @Parespeare
      Yes, very true. But the fact is also that we can never ever know most of the things. What we know is always very little and that too often incorrect. 🙂
