Grey.
Crowned Poem, English Poetry, Uncategorized |
Condensation inside, rain outside,
The window need not function.
It is just as grey and damp
As everything everywhere.
Out there is no view, no path,
Through the dull lid that sits
On a world. Cold humidity,
Lungs gasping on wet air.
Every millibar of pressure felt.
Each square millimetre of skin
Constricted, weighed upon.
Caught up in a dank snare.
Sinking in a mist of silence.
Something has vacated my head.
There are no echoes, no harmonics.
Nerves subside and idle there.
Murk within. Condensation?
No thought is precipitated.
It is all grey and grey and grey.
Nothing sparks in here.
Extremely beautiful this poem “Grey”
Reading it I am in dismay
Feelings in poem have seeped deep within
The poetic description so enticing and serene
Hearty Kudos
