Duty for our Passion for poetry …..?
We members love our p4poetry site
We have esteem for our talent to write
We have passion to post at p4p when we write
And to post our poems, so beautifully facile is this site
After posting poems, for the members comment we await
When there are no comments uncomfortable is our state
We always feel members take too long for comments to make
Nothing to see members comment quickly seems to be in place….
When the comments do come & they are good, we are happy
When the comment is not good we feel the fellow is cranky
If the poem is given a rating, we think about it attentively
Our comments are mostly replies to thank the members friendly
What business have we to at all read & comment on others poem any?
“The passion for poetry” does it mean only the above activity?
Is not reading others poems, commenting & rating them our duty?
A very responsible duty and activity to discharge the responsibility
For the love we profess for poetry and our passion for poetry…?
If all members are so concerned with their own poems only
Who will comment on their poem they await so anxiously
What then is the meaning of sharing their poems at p4poetry?
High time each member realizes our duty and responsibility
To enjoy also reading what others are posting & their poetry
Giving their heartfelt comments & rating to the poems verily
And thus becoming an active dutiful useful member of p4poetry
Respecting his own poems and those of others at p4poetry
An honored lovable site for members with passion for poetry….!

Just an idea & suggestion:-
How about a self resolution by every author member that in the interest of his passion as also of those of his other friends at p4poetry; for each of his poem posted for sharing he will read at least 5 poems of other members posted on that day or previous day, & rate each of them and comment on them on how he felt the poem….

I thought of writing on the subject also in English for the identical message and request to reach authors who post their poems in English and am looking forward to their positive response in this important matter..

We always feel members take too long for comments to make” – I feel this is a very insightful line. Indeed, sometimes I feel this way as if each poem I post were again my first step into the p4poetry community.
Yes, time can be pressing and affairs consuming and health fragile but then again the p4poetry community can be a helpful tonic for all demands. As you say honest rating can be quick and a good indicator of the feeling and understanding that a poem can evoke,

Fergus, thanks very much for the comments. What you have said is totally true. I can agree making comments needs some time but rating a poem? why should it ? if the poem has been read Most of the time it is an immediate reaction how poem strikes the reader. If authors have time to write and post their poems for sharing & obtaining feedback which is the main reason why they post the poem in the first place they have to also consider it as their duty to at least rate every poem they read. Why this apathy for rating is not understood.
