You’re Married or Happy ….?
It was around the mid nineteen sixty’s,
going for dinner & watching floor show of a cabaret,
in selected restaurants was then very new & a treat,
One such evening, with my friend and his spouse,
I went to dine in a restaurant known for its class,
the attraction was cabaret but food was also famous at this joint
The floor show with cabaret included magician Gogia Pasha,
and of all people Pasha selected my friend for his “tamaasha.”
In front of all, he summoned my friend to the stage & asked,
looking at his wife “So, Gentleman, are you Married or Happy?”
My friend equally witty replied “Sir I am both, married & also happy”
He said “It can’t be!”… And then in a jiffy he put his hand to my friend’s chest,
well down from his neck under his shirt to where it could hurt,
and lo! Took out from there a pair of “bra”; all were simply wonder struck.
Joking loudly he told my friend. “Now, gentleman I have come to know,
why you are both because your activities your wife does not know…. .”
He said that addressing friend’s wife too who was feeling shy to the core
Was smiling but where to look, the poor thing now did not know …..
