English Poetry

Many a times you may have penned
The number “8” that shows a cycle.
The bicycle itself
With forty metal wires per wheel
Has its wheels in a “sleeping 8”
Or more precisely a cycle
And hence we call it a bicycle

Then there is the cycle of Time
Governed by our very own Trinity
Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiv
Who perform the 3 functions
of generating, organizing and destroying.

Then there exists a cycle
Visible to the few and rare
And invisible to most
A cycle that is man-mde
A cycle of repetitive steps
That occur in each and every house
Or perhaps every second house

These cycles in the homes
Are brought about by people
Evil who have the evil of others
In their heart.
They follow a set of unspoken rules
In which the people are drawn as fools

Black magic and witch-craft is their subject
As they make good men and women
More negative in their outlook
For they are content only
At others negative thoughts
These others are those
Who are good humans

As these cycles of the wicked exist
In the many homes in the cities
And in the villages
We also have the cycle of waveform
Of electric voltage or electric current
That exist in every modern day home

This voltage or this current is represented
By a black thread that bends and forms
A sinusoidal waveform of voltage or the current
Often represented in the electronic device
Called the CRO or the Cathode Ray Oscilloscope

Who knows
This cycle of electricity may just fail
When the cycle of repetitive steps
In each and every home fails
And the misfits or the wicked
Meet their end.

Was unable to fathom the intent or rationality of what seems to be conveyed in the write.
Everything in the world is cyclic & that is true;So what do we do?
Our fine physics professor in first year science who introduced us to Simple Harmonic Motion did tell us then “the Universe is made up of particles in continuous simple harmonic motion” with the result we named him Sir SHM ….!

There is a purpose for composing this poem.

We have to break the cycle.

That is what we are attempting to do and causing all havoc. We can not do away with natural cycles for they provide life and have to adopt to them with love. When our actions tend to disturb the natural cycles we tend to disturb the nature’s balance and creation of harmful cycles is the result; a lot of them causing widespread harm & problems we face. This is what I personally feel.
