Two of my close friends
don’t have the pillar figure- father
to hold them, shape them
and support them to attain their goals.
It may be one of the reasons
that helped me rather
to take a secret pride
in possessing my hero, dear dad.
As I grew up to a boy
of fourteen, slowly, I learned to share
the joy with my friends on
this day to remember the great soul.
More than celebrating Chacha’s birth day
I take pride in the fun and bliss
of having a day exclusively
for us, the children, to rejoice.
