Music is…..

when winds whisper through the ferns,

when hills speak through weather -beaten stones ,

of times immemorial  and gone .

Music is …..

when hills rise in majesty

over a shimmering lake

for Form and Beauty’s sake .

Music is ….

the calm and silent might

as the sun filters its warm light

on green earth’s every patch and site.

Music is….

when swans glide with elegant pride

when two hearts beat in tandem over a swan-song.

Music is ….

the flap of the wings of the love-dove.

It’s what the Divine strums and hums,

to stir the  human soul strings  to divinity.

It’s in silence , it’s in sound .

It abounds in life around .

Hush! Listen  !! Hasten !!!

Music is surround sound .

Music is in such charming sounds and silences

    Liked immensely this poem profound
    Hearty kudos.

  2. Gion Gion says:

well done including “silence” as music is mostly the silences between the notes.
Noise is often confused for music.
The best music is not accompanied by idle tapping of hands or feet but by listening.
There is a lot to like about this poem,

    • @Gion Gion,
      Hi Fergus,
You went into the silence of the sphinx. Glad to hear the voice of appreciation again. In your silence, too, there was music as in the notes and sounds. I tried to capture the unheard music and you heard it . Merci Beaucoup!!!!

Sarala, many congratulations! The silence here speaks for itself. Music is always present around us, we need the sensitivity
to grasp it and your words portray that beautifully.
