Last night

Suddenly I woke up from

Samadhi….

My room was

on the verge of destruction;

Ah!

It was filled with cans of worms….

I was taken aback to see

the pallbearers

sent by Fear & Death.

They wanted to get me into

the real hot water then….

*2*

And

I poured my words

on their bag

And those

Polite words were

something like ….

 “I am enjoying the music, the nectar

in my citadel”

*3*

Those

Words created curiosity

and anger in their master;

At the crack

of  ‘dawn,

They came and asked ,

“You live in a hut

and speak of listening to music in a fort,

Where is your fort?”

And I put my hand on

My heart;

The greatest source of

Music

 My hide!!!

    Indeed an abstract feel,weaved so well and so terse!!The weave excels the poetry and so does the poetry…Brilliant!!!

    Excellent work…..

  7. Hi Rajdeep,
    I Liked the slow built up of music being the source of a heartbeat as much as the hide. The subtle dialogue ends in an unexpected answer.. good one

  12. Gion Gion says:

    Rajdeep,
    I had to google Samhdi. 😉 This seems a multi-layered poem.
    Endings – life, dreams, thoughts – hoping to maintained in essence? Not wishing to conform? Music as representing a spiritual / intellectual force for individual animation?
    A few minor changes suggested:
    anger in their master;
    music in a fort,
    Where is you fort? – “art thy” seems out of place with the language of the rest of the poem,

  14. Sangeeta Mundhra says:

    Excellent composition and a deep spiritual meaning. Highly inspirational. As long as the music of hope, belief and confidence is alive in the innermost citadel – the heart, no one can put a person down by threatening to destroy the exterior of this citadel, the hide.

    Thanks Sangeeta
