Dawn to Dusk
The sudden flashback
into the spring
pink flowers and leafy terrain
had most astonishingly set a victorious reign..
The fawn inside
hopped with an unbeatable pride,
the promising future
was a mere sketch
what the present had discreetly nurtured..
and one day the eyes woke up
to realize, the cold and dampness engulfed..
Pores of the skin sniffed
the danger around,
the ghastly tomorrow
slapped the face deepening today’s sorrow,
the soul was surging
within the numb living being,
to fight the battle yet unconquered
creating a void of despair somewhere deep under…
