The Fall
English Poetry, Jun 2012 Contest |
The Fall
The wind that blows
Is very dry
The water that flows
Is very cold
The weather is chill
And the sun up the hill
Is not as warm
In these days of winter
The trees have shed
Their lovely leaves
And have turned barren
Yet the optimist believes
Very strongly and hopes
For the arrival of the spring
The climate is cold and chilly
The trees refuse their shelter
During these days
As they kindly tell the people
“Soak in the cold winter sun
It is not that hot
But quite a good fun”
Thus the trees refuse shelter
By shedding their myriad leaves
Good appreciation of Fall
