The shadow flickers
with the flickering light
so strange  is the relation
both separated, at the extremes
yet related, or to be precise
one dependent on another
or maybe simply
one respecting the existence of the other
after its birth, from the light
the dark shadow grows
maintains its individuality
in the bright presence
But when the light bids farewell
It simply fades away as well
into the darkness
with a sad parting smile on its face,
eyes shut, and head bowed down

Well, that is the way of nature, isn’t it? Each dependent on the other and fulfilling the needs, but seldom meet. Nice imagination.

Darkness & light, day & night, shadow & brightness follow each other endlessly.
Better to end the poem on a positive note & attitude of hope.
Every cloud has a silver lining…
