English Poetry

Forty five years old
Arakkil Abdul Rehman
is in a critical condition;
All his organs
got damaged, the doctor says;
To borrow each
and every organ
the relatives go haywire
knocking at every door.

Job’s brain,
Raman’s heart
A liver part from Kunju
A kidney from Rahim
Kanaka’s eye
Kathrina’s skin
and bone marrow from Manu;
All these seven blended rainbow raga
flows through his mind
as the rainbow in the sky
in ‘VIBGYOR ‘ streaks.
Only Abdul Rehman
doubts “who is he”.
