A Perfect Kiss…
Anthology 2013 Entries, English Poetry |
Like a brush of the rose petals
Subtly falling.
Like the last light
Of the setting Sun.
Like before a disaster
A hint of its calling.
Like the tears and rain
Become one.
Like the rivers of joy
Their pleasant flow on the rocks.
Like the green of the bushes
And the ticking of the clock.
Like the ice and its trickle
Over the glistening skin,
Like the silent whispers
Through the barriers thin…
Like the gentle warmth of the brilliant flame,
Close enough, to a fire untamed,
A comfort beyond anything ever felt,
The Sun goes down but the sky still melts.
The one which awakens and arouses the heart,
To the one and only who perfects this art,
I am down on my knees, a fragrance divine,
Take me in your arms and I will be fine….

“Close enough, to a fire untamed,
A comfort beyond anything ever felt,” – I like this.
Nice poem. Some lines
are penetrating, Arshaj.
