Kaleidoscopic

Life is a kaleidoscope
spins aimlessly in an array of designs
tilts into a wandering stage
at certain juncture
with a tinge of obscurity
aggravating the different moods
as if to tune the changing weather
leading to humdrum or melancholy
unknowingly but distinctively
untouched and ridiculously mournful at times.
Life, as a river, rare it may seem,
flows forward stretching the sides
carrying all obstacles –
pebbles and thorns along,
piercing the earth’s crust
making way wide and smooth
shaping the stones, carving the thorn ends
to reach the goal, merging into the sea.
