Beyond my control is this blessed mania…!

( An attempt at translation of my poem presentation ” Meri Kavitaa Pyaari Mujhko” in Hindi posted on 16ThAug’13)
.
Beyond my control is this blessed mania …!
Immensely in love with my poems I am verily
To others may be they are a headache & of no use any
Knowing this well, still am unable stop penning poetry (?)
Beyond my control is this blessed mania already …!.
Whenever wherever does a poem or a song emerge on my lips
And I am able to scribble a few lines on a chit
Matters little who the person on my side or around is
Catch I the poor fellow and make him listen to it
As if it is my mandatory ordained duty to do this ….!
My poems I know are no use but a headache to many
Beyond my control is this blessed mania already …!
Whether one likes & enjoys hearing or not, I lose sight
Nothing matters to me when I get into the inspired mood to recite
My friends tend to run away from me in my poetic mood’s high
Of my wife, children & family not any different is the plight
Why should my poems be of interest with no money from them in sight?
My poems I know are no use but a headache to many
Beyond my control is this blessed mania already …!
The way a mother loves her children whatever they are
My love for my poems is identically intense however they are
But to many others who seem to tell “Isn’t this habit a futile waste of time by far”,
Care I not & go on writing & reciting my poems as my creation thus far
As if a debt of gratefulness I am repaying the Lord for keeping my heart inspired …!
My poems I know are no use but a headache to many
Beyond my control, however, is this blessed mania already …!
“ Vishvnand”
Everyone loves his or her own creation. You are no different…
Thanks so very much for the comment…
Yes .. We are no different but still like to be regarded as different… & when people treat us differently or are indifferent then the different in us is upset and starts feeling differently….. 🙂
Yes very true
Great
Thank you so very much for the appreciation.
Please do read/listen to the original Hindi version of this poem, which is in fact a haasya kavitaa composed & rendered originally in yr 1979 for an Office Party….
