English Poetry

Sitting in this remote dark corner
the bright shiny street, comes into view,
leading to the road
of peace and hope.

Words don’t readily ooze
through the tip of the pen
to draw the picture of
drizzling rain
on the tree trunks, leaves
on the feathers and plumes
of tiny sparrows and parrots.
Crows peck the hair
on the heads of the bulls
while they swing the tails
to drive out thin drops of water;
Cool breeze tries to make the soil dry.
