English Poetry

If we don’t want to hear
what we don’t like
we can plug cotton in the ears.

If we don’t want to see
the things which are unpleasant
we can pull down our eyelids.

If we don’t desire to devour
what we dislike
we can refuse to open the lips.

If we don’t want to sensitize or feel
the things that we want to avoid
we can not close our heart or mind .
