A child again
English Poetry |
What a carefree life I had lived
I wish I was a little child again
That little world was so blissful
Growing up just seems insane
As siblings we fought & yet loved
I wish I was that child again
Innocence in the mind & heart
Seems to have gone down the drain
I thought I was getting smarter
But I want to be that child again
Growing up, an emotional roller-coaster
Watered down joys, with lots of pain
Childhood, a fountainhead of love
Let me be that little child again
Wealth & belongings I gathered
But in the end, what did I really gain?
I don’t want any big airplane
I just want my tattered toy train
Come summers, winter or the rain
I wish I was a little child again
Koi lauta day meray beeta huai din….who kagaj ki kashti woh baarish ka paani….
very appropriate poem to start the new year….
keep them coming
love you bhai

Everything seems a stress n strain at times as u grow up, n its frequency seems to increase. Yes v r all thankful to God for all his kindness, yet sometimes one slips. Thx n love u too.
Yes seriously, being a child was a fun, now that i look back.
Very good poem, loved it!
Iconic. V did not have much but were happier. Perhaps a clean heart n mind
Yes. All of us long for the
childhood with a hope in vain,
Viju.
Yes Ma’am, it is in vain, the hope, but i did feel like reliving some of the unabashed childhood moments, the freedom of action, not caring what others would think etc & trust me I cud relive maybe 5-10 % ofmy happiest days 🙂
