YOUNGEST
English Poetry |
“Welcome youngman!”
A tender voice invited me.
“So feminine…!” I thought.
Didn’t try to turn my head
and said “I’m old, very old!”
I guess she laughed…
“You’re the youngest
in our world!!”
Is this about re-birth?
Old man taking birth as a baby?
That is what I surmise.
I may be wrong.
Thought is cryptically put forth in brief lines.
Touch of subtle humour too.
Kusum.
Dear Kusum, this’s about death…at the gates of heaven…
Didn’t understand.
May be just a flow of words……..poem ?
But nice set of words, nice paragraph.
Dear Ullas, an old man dies and goes to heaven. At heaven he is a newborn. Here in this poem the angel is welcoming the new citizen into heaven saying you’re the youngest.
(Y)..Elegant & very lovingly impacting indeed, vitamin for those feeling old
At the door of the other world you are an entry as new & young, never old …! 🙂
Hearty commends for the excellent take …!
Thank you Sir.
Beautiful short and sweet poem.
